Duke Leto Atreides of the Prelude to Dune Series.

this one was a little tough to decide; eventually i realized a few things... the very people who depend on you aren't your assets, we have to view them as humans. unlike the way House Harkonnen (of Geidi Prime) or House Vernius (of Ix) merely view humans as replaceable tools... i also care about tradition, breaking them if only in the name of honour and pride. it's even a component of my given name: nobility. and yes i practice these... never give up, no matter the odds, play on!
